The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers growing in power within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to begin their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

This warrior group includes Teor (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their position as important members in the influential clan could assist the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The fighter vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we discover that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Fans can look forward to discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
